Svbony have kindly sent me their 40mm Plossl to have a look at and at 40 mm it's about the lowest power you can go when it comes to eyepiece focal length. The sudden light actually bleaches out the rhodopsin (visual purple) to a great extent. The only thing you can do is filter it out the intense light before it happens or - sadly - wait to fully night adapt again (which can take from 30 to 45 minutes).

    Again. Another Great Video. All of them I have watched so far are that way. One thing to note is that they are not in the least bit boring. They are all very informative as well as being very humorous as well. The second thing to note is that you are great at explaining things (including Technical Terms), in what most people would call "Laymans" terms of which are easy for even beginners to understand. Of which make them highly interesting to watch and to learn something from. - I highly recommend them for both beginners, as well as Beginning "Back Yard" Atronomers. - Thank You once again Sir.

    Back when I was "Knee-High To A Grasshopper", my parents told me that the moon was made out of "Green Cheese". Well, maybe that "Green Moon Filter" just brings out the true color of that "Green Cheese" of which I was told the "Moon" was made out of. - Just Kidding. - LOL. We all know different now that we are all grown up.....Right? Well. At this time, the Astronauts who've already landed on the Moon aren't revealing any Green Cheese secrets as of yet. Maybe the next set of Astronauts who land on the Moon will tell us. - Again, Just Kidding. LOL. Anyway. Thanks for a Great and Very Informative Video. - I have enjoyed your informative videos. - Keep up the great work.

    • @smalloptics753
      @smalloptics753 12 дней назад

      Hello there, yes, definitely.. But I would advise just using the 8mm on its own. Otherwise, you will have too much magnification and will struggle with focus and keeping the planet in the f.o.v.. Good luck have fun.

    I love your channel! I discovered it after purchasing my telescope, which is the same model as yours, and it has quickly become my favorite knowledge base. Great work! Regarding the Celestron 15x70 binoculars, they are truly my best purchase. They are not that heavy and only require a tripod if you want to observe the Galilean moons or craters on the moon. For viewing the Pleiades or the Beehive Cluster, a tripod isn't crucial. The collimation in this model is excellent; online reviews confirm this, and I've had no issues with mine. The only drawbacks are the bag, which isn't of great quality, and the cheap adapter included for mounting the binoculars on a tripod. I did replace the adapter, although the included one works fine on windless nights.
